FO Sock and New Yarn "Berries"

Here's the most recent finished object - half a pair of socks. The second one is already on the needles and the ribbing has commenced. Also, feast your eyes on the wool I just dyed and dried. It's lovely deep shades of blackberry, cranberry and leafy green, so I call it "berries". This one is going up for sale on ebay. Here's the address if you are interested:

I am having a day off from my work today. My job can be really tough sometimes. I supervise social workers in a therapeutic foster care program. We work with children and adolescents with behavior problems and also do special needs adoptions. It's been particularly challenging lately, so I need some distance and time to regroup. I will spend the day knitting, being outdoors and organizing things around the house (at least I'll feel like SOMETHING is under my control). As with many social work type jobs, often the agency changes are more frustrating than the work with the children and families. After getting stressed from both sides, one starts to feel a little squeezed in the middle of it all. All day yesterday, I kept thinking it was Friday because of the level of stress that I felt. I was so disappointed to realize it was only Tuesday. :( Today I am ALL :) because I can leave that all behind and do MY things.

Sounds like you made a very good decision to take care of you for the day. Hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Do I hear reservations for dinner?
