Monday morning. Had 2 slices of zucchini bread and a cup of coffee for breakfast. What could be better(not including staying home)? I'm back at the office, listening to messages, checking email and trying to wrap my brain around the concept of work. Place a bumper sticker on my forehead now that reads "I'd rather be knitting".
How many of you have done this? I downloaded and printed the pattern for the socks in post below. I have finished the length of the ankle. The lace pattern is interesting, but I think I should have done simple cables instead. Anyway, I got to the part where I started the heel flap, turned the page, and LO & BEHOLD, there was another step in the lace pattern on the next page!!! After I got over the shock, I decided to keep the sock the way it is and not frog it. I can't imagine that one row makes that much difference anyway. I'll just name the pattern something else, like Leafless. Yeah, that's it. Leafless Lace.
Daughter Emily spent the weekend with me. She helped me do the yardwork. I mowed lawn while she trimmed the shrubs. Wow. What a difference. They were beginning to make the place haunted they were so overgrown. It really is rather funny - a small Cape Cod house with humongous shrubs out front. They rather dwarf the house. Anyway it looks great now. Thanks Em!
