New Yarns

I did some yarn dyeing this weekend. All of them are 100% merino wool in a fingering weight - enough to knit a pair of socks on #1-#3 dpns. From left to right, they are: jollyrancher, pumpkin & sky, goldenrod, and stonewash and mahogany. The jollyrancher yarn reminds of the colors of various fruit flavor candies. Pumpkin and sky is pumpkin orange and sky blue. Goldenrod is the colors of a field of goldenrod, so common along the fields around here at this time of year. And lastly, stonewash and mahogany is the various shades of blue jeans with mahogany brown. I love creating these yarns! I hope they become lovely pairs of socks for someone. I made a pair of socks from stonewash and mahogany dye in a worsted weight yarn a month ago or so, with a slight difference. In the previous yarn, I left space for the cream color in between the colors, but you'll get the idea. Here's a photo of that:

(If you are interested in any of these yarns, go to ebay and do a seller search for "sumptinelse1333")
