I think I'm getting the hank of it! and Pumpkinville

I got some great responses to help me do a better job of twisting hanks of yarn. Here's a few examples.
More of my yand dyed yarn photos. I am learning to create a nicer twisted hank with my yarns. Here's my better results, thanks to my readers instructions!
I am starting to feel like I know what I'm doing with this yarn creation process - even the naming, the packaging and the displaying. Sure is fun.
I actually did NO knitting this weekend. Saturday was spent visiting Pumpkinville in Great Valley, NY with sister and daughter and niece. It's a tradition. Even though we don't have any little children (and no grandchildren yet) we go every year. Have to go and have that first glass of cider (pressed right there), a pumpkin donut (see photo), and in niece's case, a pumpkin ice cream cone. I bought a lovely autumn table runner, a Golden Spiced Pear Yankee Candle with a ceramic cover and a bag of big beautiful apples (several varieties). What a blast.

Isn't this little cow train cute? The cows are made from oil drums.

I am very impressed with my sister's canning. Look how nice it looks in their pantry.

These celebrations look like fun. Even the humble pumpkin gets to star. Wonder if kids in the US like pumpkin better than Aussie kids? I used to hate it, and now only eat butternut.
