STORM!!

This is what we woke up to on Friday morning. Over a half million people were without power. The wet snow came down so fast and was so heavy, and the trees had not lost their leaves yet. The weight of the snow broke tree branches, powerlines, people's rooftops. There were shortages of gasoline, bottled water (all water had to be boiled), kerosene and generators. NYSEG and National Grid say that all power will not be restored until Oct.22. There is no heat at my house. My cellphone was about to die. As soon as the travel ban was lifted in my town, I got out of Dodge, staying with family, 50 miles south. They didn't have so much as a flake of snow on the ground. I brought knitting with me, so I am enjoying my stay! I finished a pair of socks - my sister fell in love with them, so they are hers now. :)
I started another pair of socks in shades of blackberry, sage and green wool (hand dyed, of course). I am also working on my daughter's sweater.
I had 2 more new yarns on www.thankewe.etsy.com. One of them sold. See below.

Wow....I can't believe the storms over there. It's only October.

Hey, I can't find your sockret pal questionaire. I'm sure it is just buried in the archives but I need to find it again. :) Thanks.
