Donate to Girls Orphanage

I have a colleague in our therapeutic foster care program who volunteers at a girls orphanage in Honduras, "Nuestras Pequenas Rosas" (Our Little Roses), every winter (this is her third year). She works with the girls on building a range of skills. When she goes, she takes a big suitcase of donations of toys, clothing and games. I thought I'd throw it out there to anyone in this group to see if anyone has a completed knitted project in a child's size that they would like to donate. If you are interested, you can email me and i'll tell you where to send it. (I'll send you the address of the private agency for which we work and it can be shipped here). It gets cool at night, so sweaters and socks in girls sizes would be appreciated. The deadline is January 24 - I know it's not much time. We would need to receive it by then. That's why I was suggesting something already completed. On the other hand, little socks don't take long. Please don't send toys, unless they are tiny, as the space is limited. The girls range in age from 1 to 21. You can read about it at: http://www.ourlittleroses.org/newsletters/OLR_Fall_2002.pdf or http://groups.drew.edu/honduras/activities.htm . Thanks everyone. Email me at sumptinelse@yahoo.com.
