New Hand Dyed Yarns!

Knitting has been slow lately. Days pass without picking up a needle. I am busy with 2 jobs and still getting adjusted to the schedule. I love my second job and am happy to be at my first job for fewer days per week.

Today is one of my weekdays off, and I am spending it creating new hand dyed yarns! Under half a foot of snow and single-digit overnight temperatures, I know there are lovely spring bulb flowers sleeping, waiting for spring. I count the days until they come to life again! In their honor, I have created superwash wool sock yarns in the following colorways: crocus, hyacinth and Apeldoorn tulip (very popular colorway on my etsy site). These yarns on on the drying racks and should be posted on www.thankewe.etsy.com by the end of the first week of February. Stop by and see them! I will be introducing worsted weight yarns soon as well - some superwash and some 100% merino wool which is feltable!
One of my greatest pleasures is watching birds in my backyard. My favorite little bird visitor is the chickadee. What a cheerful little bird he is! He will explore new birdfeeders before any other bird, and announce the "all clear" to the entire bird community. Only after he has tried it out and pronounced it satisfactory, will the finches and cardinals and sparrows come. Watching them is one of my greatest pleasures. I am thankful for little winter birds.
