Bamboo is shiny!

I continue to be amazed by bamboo/superwash merino/nylon blend yarn. Look how it shines! All the colors have a shiny, metallic look to them. The bamboo also takes the dye differently, producing more subtle colors. Our base yarn also includes 10% nylon for durability.

I am dabbling with knitting looms for fun. Have any of you tried them? I am also expecting a copy of Socks Soar on 2 Circular Needles by Cat Bordi. I want to try new ways to knit socks - especially one that helps them go faster. I want to produce more pairs of socks for the time I have to knit. Do you use 2 circular needles to knit socks? How do you like this technique? Let me know by answering the poll to the right. Thanks!

I used to knit on two circs, but then switched to magic loop (same idea, just cheaper).

I knit all my socks like this now and love it, I would never go back to DPN's

Why is it cheaper? Does it work on one circular needle?

Two circs are great for socks, mittens, gloves, and hats, especially when you get to the final decreases (I hate fiddling around with dpn's at the end!) When I tried Cat's method I had trouble with laddering at the point where she changes from one circ to the next. So now I mark the beginning of my round with a stitch marker, and knit a few stitches beyond the point where Cat switches, before switching from one circ to the next (does that make sense? We can do the same thing with dpn's to avoid laddering.) Anyway it's a speedy technique. I did it for too long and got carpal tunnel, so be careful!

I just found your blog by accident! I'm the one who bought your Bayou yarn the other night on Etsy.
Feel free to pop by my blog and see what it becomes!!!
