I love my poinsetta - I have never before seen one with speckles like this one. We have a "Super Flea" market near my home where Emily and i shopped for some unusual items last Saturday. We got 3 lovely poinsettas for $10. This is my fave.

I just can't post pics of my holiday gift knitting without fear of ruining the surprise for so many people, so I am posting this tiny sock on tiny sock blocker instead. The tiny blocker keychain was a gift from our yarn shop's supplier, with directions to knit the tiny sock. I knit the tiny sock on size 0 dpns with light fingering weight yarn. I love it! Tiny cute things are always and forever cool.
All the socks, scarves and hats I knit have still to be given to recipients on Sunday when I host my family's Christmas party. And because I was eager to wrap them and check that off my to do list, I didn't photograph them beforehand. I will get a shot of the scarf I gave to Emily though - she already has hers - knit with 4 strands of our worsted weight hand dyed yarn on size 17 needles. It's a simple pattern that she really likes. You can do one of these in about 2 hours! Photos to come...
I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and wish you all a knitterly wonderful New Year!
