I can now post pictures of the socks I knit for my Sockret Pal, since she has received them and written to me. Here they are. They are knit from superwash wool that I hand dyed in peaches and cream. The pattern is Hedera, from www.knitty.com. They are nice and stretchy. The lace really stands out when they are on the foot. You can visit her site and see her photos of her package at http://catknits.typepad.com/
I am working on some socks for my daughter from another of my hand dyed yarns - fingering weight. I thought the yarn should be called violets, but my daughter, ever the Buffalo Sabres fan, said "No, call them Sabres" because they are in the colors of the new Sabres jerseys. she of course claimed the yarn as her own. The pattern will be a simple 2X2 rib cuff, ankle down knit. Pics when I have made enough progress that they resemble a sock.
www.thankewe.etsy.com will have new sock yarns by the weekend. I just got a shipment today, so tomorrow will be a yarn dyeing day.
