I cannot get over how quickly things are progressing toward E-Day (the day I leave for England). I am going to the office tomorrow, and putting in a brief appearance on Monday morning. After that, I will be a lady of leisure. Except for the time I was recovering from surgery, I've not had more than 5 days off at a time since...many many years ago. I am thinking of all the fun things I can spend my time doing tween now and E-day, things I have not allowed myself to do. My moving will not be laborious. I have only 10 totes to move. There will be the house to clean, but that's not such a big task.
There have been many goodbyes this week. Both the team I supervise at work and the Management team took me out for lunch. Lovely bunch that they are, they wish me well and express sadness about my leaving. Such a fine group of people. I hope to meet the likes of them again. They will be a tough act to follow.
I responded to them by saying that I was sure I would miss them when I was done being so darned happy. I hope no one was offended. It is a true description of my experience.
